House Bill 442 Passes the House Today

Thank you to all who have sent letters, scheduled visits and made phone calls to your House Representative. Today HB442 passed the house 105-91. Walt Krzyzanowski and I have been dealing with heavy opposition for the last month. We were told we did not have the votes today to pass. With the help of our members, the determination of Representative Christiana (sponsor of the bill), open shop contractors, union contractors, Walt Krzyzanowski, Mike McGraw and John Kane (Plumbers Local 690) we prevailed. HB442 now moves to the Senate, 1st time in 8 years!!

Huge Victory for the Plumbing Industry Today!!!

All we can say is thank you to all who sent letters, phoned or visited their local Reps or simply spread the word. We are happy to report even with strong opposition the Plumber’s License Bill passed the full House on third and final consideration yesterday. The Bill has been sent to the Senate for concurrence.

A second and also very significant piece of legislation passed the House yesterday. HB-566 known as the Prompt Pay Bill also has been sent to the Senate for concurrence. This legislation helps to protect the rights of subcontractors.
