Associated Master Plumbers of Allegheny County (AMPAC) is a four-year, plumbing, educational and training apprenticeship program located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. AMPAC is the regions #1 provider for the education and training of the local non-union plumbers from within the seven-county region around Pittsburgh. Our goal is to produce the highest level of graduates who are prepared to complement the plumbing industry.

The AMPAC 1st Year Apprentice Scholarship was created to attract apprentices who have a financial need by offering first full year tuition scholarships to three incoming 1st year, 1st semester apprentices. To be eligible, apprentice must be entering 1st year, 1st semester apprenticeship program, prove a financial need by filling out the income/expense form, and employer not providing tuition.

If awarded, scholarship funds equaling 1st full year tuition amount will be paid directly to apprentice’s account. To remain eligible, apprentice must fulfill the hours required to pass each semester. If apprentice stops attending, funds will be returned to AMPAC.

This need based scholarship is awarded based upon financial need of apprentice. If more than three applicants qualify, an essay will be required. The essay’s will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and awarded to the three finalists.

Interested apprentices should complete the application form and the required Income/Expenses form found below. They should then attach copies of pay stubs, receipts, bills, etc. Completed applications can be mailed to: AMPAC, 3128 Allendale Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15204.
